Adaptive Athlete Clinic – Saturday, Jan 27th from 11a to 1p. CrossFit Defined is developing an Adaptive Athlete Program, and the concept behind this initiative is simple: We want to increase accessibility to the health and fitness world to those folks that may require workout program modifications due to the need for adaptive equipment. Back Squat or Overhead Squat: Athlete’s Choice!
-Find heavy 3 for the day with pause
-Pause for 3 seconds at the bottom of each rep
-Build to a moderate/heavy set over 15 minutes

B.
4 Minute Amrap
Barbell Front Rack Step-ups X Max effort
-Option #2: Using a kb in Goblet position
-stepping up to a 20/16” height
-Set height so top leg is 90 degrees at knee and hip
-using no more than 40% of C&J or 55% of Pushpress

Russian KB Swing X 10 reps 70/55lbs
Pushups X 10 reps
Kip Swing or Kipping pullup X 10 reps
-Option #2: Sub kip swing with active hold x 30 seconds

“Whole 30” Nutritional Workshop Registration: This Saturday, February 18th @ CFD Lincoln Square from 12:30p – 2:00p

“Manage Your Macros” Nutritional Workshop Registration: This Sunday, February 19th @ CFD Lakeview from 12:00p – 1:30p

“Life Lifting @ Lincoln Square” with Coach David and Coach Frank, 8-9pm. All members welcome, no experience needed.

“Mobility @ Lakeview” with Coach Cara, 6-6:30pm. Focus: SHOULDERS, ELBOWS & WRISTS- Free yourself of all those tweaks, pains and flareups in your lower limbs. If you are lacking range of motion you have to compensate in other areas. Come in and learn an effective mobility strategy to better your overall power.

1. Review of Hollow position + Rock the boat Partner Drill!
2. Tabata Mashup X 6 Rounds: 20 on/ 10 off
Hollow Hold + Superman Extension

Choose an option that is attainable and challenging!
Kip Swing with block X 10-15 reps
Kipping Pullup X 10-15 reps
OR

-Hi Hang + Hang  (1+2)

-Focus on using legs to drive the bar and high elbows to keep the bar close!
