Join Coach ​Cara​, Coach Noal​, and Coach Kay​ on Sunday, ​August 27th at CrossFit Defined Lakeview from ​11:30​am – 1pm for our “Managing Your Macros” Workshop.​ Join us to learn all about the WHY and HOW behind successfully counting and managing your macros.

The 6-week challenge begins on Monday, August 28th. ​**Registration for the workshop and the 6 week challenge are separate. You don’t have to do 1 to participate in the other. That being said, we highly suggest attending the workshop if you plan to sign up for the 6 week challenge!**

So, what does it mean to “Manage Your Macros” and why is it important?

You’ll learn how to determine the adequate amount of macro nutrients your body needs to be at its best–physically and aesthetically. The goal is to educate you–to make you an independent individual that doesn’t have to stick to a strict meal plan​. There are NO “cheats,” NO “can’t haves,” just suggested best options and an exact amount of grams you must hit each day (+/- 1-3g). Remember: You are making a shift in the way you think and feel about food that will bring about positive change. And this type of change will last a lifetime. You will finally gain control of your eating and the ability to know how to add or subtract macros/calories in order to gain or lose weight as your goals evolve over time.

Here’s what you can expect…

In this process, you will learn an incredible amount about food, your relationship to it, and what your body needs in order to perform your best–and look your best. Coach Cara and Coach Kay have both experienced incredible changes in body composition over the last 6 months, and their success can be attributed to managing their macros: being accountable to a Nutrition Coach while working with “Working Against Gravity.” Similarly, we’ll be using the “W.A.G” approach, coupled with in-person coaching to create a 6-week, hands on program with the same sort of accountability; which we believe is the key to your success.

There’s a relatively steep learning curve with respect to weighing, measuring and planning meals; especially when it comes to tracking macro nutrients. Our 6-week program will ensure success and keep you engaged and accountable along the way.

The cost to join our 6-week program is $99.00 and will include the following:

  • You will be assigned to a coach for the entire challenge for weekly check-ins
  • You will also be required to submit pictures and a food log at the end of every week
  • You’ll participate in weekly surveys to monitor your stress, mood, hunger level, etc.
  • There will be 30-minute, small-group Q&A meetings led by each of our coaches at both gyms, on a weekly basis.
  • Lastly, at the end of your 6-week program, there will be a final meeting to review your results and discuss how to move forward on your own!
