CrossFit Kids Program Details – TBA

What to expect: The 4-week program is not a scaled-down version of CrossFit. Appropriate workouts, skill enhancement, motor control and communication drills/games are used to develop kids in a wide skill range. Based on the principles of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity; CrossFit Kids emphasizes proper movement throughout childhood and adolescence.

Consistently developing great mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement. The class breakdown will include 45 min of movement/15 min cooldown/open play.

What your child will learn: Each class starts at the white-board and includes a fun warm-up. It moves to learning a new skill and applying it in a WOD-Game at the end of class. CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an effective alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children.

When is the program: Our 4-week kids session will begin on Monday, June 4th. All children ages 5 – 11 years old can sign up for either one session per week or two. The two day a week session will meet on both Saturday and Monday. We ask that parents are in the gym for the first class of each session.

Pricing: $95 per child // $135 Family Rate (2 children from the same household).
